7. Reginal quotas
Less flexible especially from certain areas. Aim is to distribute newcomers better.
6. Stricter compliance checks
Deeper audits. No change in reason for visas. Dont change jobs or pick up another. Attend class and do not drop classes or take breaks. Housing details under scrutiny. Report and update you relocation. Keep records
5. Caps on specific occupations
Address balances in jobs and skill permits and apply to persons who are there if caps are arrived at.
4. New proof of funds threshold
Raising financial bar requirement and move from government. From 13,000 to 16,000 accessible cash. Part time jobs might be a thing of the pass. Proof of funds updated throughout.
3. Reduction in post graduate work permits
PGWPs are down and applicable to recognised schools. Some schools will loose their status as well..
Graduates of one year diplomas may be out.
2. Language requirement upgrades

1. Stricter work permit renewals
Labour market needs critical. Also prove continuous job in same role. Updated contracts and proof of trying to hire Canadians before looking outside.
